"Maybe they do have some nice pieces of clothing...
But the display is simply confusing. It's too much going on there.
Please, don't put everything you have on a window display.
Oh.. and I also don't like the T-shirts on the right hand side..."

The Whisky Shop
Victoria Street

"Lovely storefront. No fuss, just plain whisky. The dark exterior reflects the aged aspect of whisky while the orange relates to the color of the distilled beverage. Window display is pretty straightforward as is the advertisement. No crazy in your face poster, just to the point. Overhead small sign (not the one painted on the facade) is hard to read from a distance, but street sign makes up for it. The encircled W is also a nice addition, making passersby curious and look to the sign for explanation. Typography is nice...no glaring issues...just perhaps the K and Y kerning."

"Promotional Flyers for Edinburgh's posh shopping street. Surprised such high end shops such as Harvey Nichols and Luis Vuitton would put something like this out - it looks cheesy and the bad vector graphics look cheap."

"Love this storefront! There is no need to even read the signage or even see into the windows to know exactly what this place is. By choosing a simple, straightforward, and resonating symbol, passersby of any age immediately get the message even in a second's glance. The orange facade is a standout next to all the grey stone buildings and further pushes the quirkiness and nostalgia of this unique shop."

"It's a bit scary, what with the rictus smile of Babs Cartland staring out at passers by, but I like this for its sheer refusal to follow any kind of sensible approach to marketing in any way shape or form. I have no idea what the shop is going to sell (although I bet it will be available in pink), but it makes me smile every time I walk past it"
